Kids Days Out in Reading
Reading is well placed for a family day out, with plenty in the town and more within a short drive. Reading Museum is free and holds a full size Victorian copy of the Bayeux Tapestry, which is more gripping for children than it sounds. Unique Outdoors runs outdoor activity sessions, and Tutti Frutti is a long standing stop for ice cream afterwards. Legoland Windsor is around half an hour away and makes a full day rather than a half. Forbury Gardens and the Thames path cover a slower afternoon.
