The Battlefield Line Railway - Shackerstone

All aboard for an exciting journey into history! The Battlefield Railway Line is the rural railway line in the heart of England. Travel back in time with this remarkable railway, with steam, diesel and railcar train services, picturesque small stations and a meandering single track line.  Running from Shackerton via Market Bosworth to Shenton, the Battlefield line is the last remaining section of the Ashby and Nuneaton Railway opened in 1873! Shackerton Station, located at the northern end of the line features a museum, Victorian tea room and a gift shop.
