Brocks Hill Country Park and Centre, Leicester

Brocks Hill provides a vibrant and accessible community environmental Centre set within a country park of 30 hectares (67 acres). Mixed wildlife habitats include woodland, meadows, ponds and a community orchard which are all laid out with wheelchair and pram-friendly paths.

The Country Park and Centre host everything from cross country championships to toddlers' walks, as well as natural history training days and events that allow adults and children to reconnect to the natural world around us. Play areas inspired by the natural environment and a den building area provide a popular family focus. Additional elements include sculptures and orienteering courses around the park, as well as sponsored benches, tree avenues and plantings.

The Centre incorporates a café, a shop and toilets, as well as a hall and meeting room overlooking the Country Park which are available for hire. Accessible paths and free car parking mean it is a popular location. Ponds and wildlife friendly plantings, holiday activities, wildlife lectures, team building and volunteering days mean that Brocks Hill Country Park provides something for everyone to have a great day out!
