Penny Farm World Horse Welfare
Perfect for horse fans!
Penny Farm is a horse rehabilitation centre operated by the charity World Horse Welfare. The farm is home to around 60 animals and is the Lancashire branch of the charity dedicated to rescuing abused horses and ponies. Visitors are shown around by a volunteer guides to learn about the horses in care and the work of the charity. Meet the horses and learn about horse-care on guided tours or why not book a children's Birthday party, the tailored parties start with a guided tour, so that children can meet the horses and ponies before lunch and a chance to groom one of our ponies. There is also an opportunity to walk around the paddocks. There is a picnic areas and a coffee shop. Most of the centre is indoors and the farm is open all year round there are regular fun days and special events for the children to have a great day out. Entrance is free but donations are appreciated, dogs are welcome. the centre is very wheel friendly, commended for Access for All in Lancs/Blackpool Tourism awards.
