Marwell Zoo is a beautiful 140-acre outdoor attraction, nestled in Winchester’s countryside.
The zoo is owned by conservation charity Marwell Wildlife, and is home to hundreds of rare and endangered species, including Amur tigers, white rhinos, Humbolt penguins, snow leopards, red pandas and Rothschild’s giraffe.
Keep an eye on Marwell’s social channels for news of exciting animal arrivals, and make sure you download Marwell Zoo app for animal feed times and fun animal facts.
Explore a lush rainforest in the ‘Energy for Life’ Tropical House. Walk past vibrant exotic plants as colourful birds fly overhead. You might even spot the Linne’s two-toed sloth! P.S. this innovative building is sustainably powered by zoo poo!
Wander through Wallaby Walkthrough to get up close to the wallabies. This peaceful area also features natural seating and a water feature – so you can relax in the soothing sounds of nature.
Explore the charming formal garden behind historic Marwell Hall, which includes three different garden styles from the 16th and 17th centuries.
Kids can go wild in one of five adventure playgrounds, swinging like monkeys or sliding like penguins! The bespoke okapi playground was designed to be inclusive and provides accessible equipment, so all children can safely play.
Check Marwell’s website for their busy events calendar, with plenty of extra activities taking place during school holidays and throughout the year.
Upgrade your day ticket to an annual membership whilst at the park and enjoy unlimited entry to the zoo for one year, plus even more exclusive perks.
