The National Brewery Centre, Burton on Trent

Take your kids on a day out in Burton on Trent with lots of things to see and do.

Tours start with a holographic-style presentation of the history of brewing, then our experienced guides take visitors through each step of the brewing process and explain the fascinating roles that the steam engines, shire horses and vintage vehicles, on show, played in the development of the industry.

Steam enthusiasts and kids of all ages - will also be delighted with both our No.9 steam train and Directors' coach, featured in our recreation of a station platform from the days when the Bass Brewery had its own railway network. A model of the fantastic network of rail that existed around Burton is on display at the second floor of the Joiner's Shop exhibition building.

Our two magnificent horses will be on site, virtually every day from April 1st to October 6th. Visitors be able to see them in their original Brewery stables and often out in their paddock.

During your visit, a trip to our café will give you the chance to enjoy a cup of freshly-brewed coffee and one of our delicious homemade cakes or pastries.

The fully licensed Brewery Tap Restaurant offers a daily menu of freshly prepared, varied and imaginative food offering great quality at brilliant value.

Every Sunday the restaurant also offers a superb lunchtime Carvery. Treat your family to a selection of hand-carved local reared meats served with a selection of the finest garden vegetables and beef dripping roast potatoes
