St Mawes
Beautiful quiet unspoilt village on the Roseland Peninsula.
With sand/shingle beach, places to eat, and outstanding walks. You can take the boat across to Falmouth or perhaps take a cruise up the Fal. St Mawes is a quiet unspoilt Cornish village and a get away from it all destination.
The beaches are good for things to do and see, including shell seeking, rockpooling and paddling.
There are pubs including the Rising Sun where you can enjoy your drinks on the sun terrace, restaurants including take away fish and chips. If you like shopping there are a good selection of gift shops along the sea front as well as a pharmacy and Co-op, and the St Mawes bakery.
Take a short walk to the historic 15th century St Mawes Castle under the ownership of English Heritage.
This is a perfect spot for cottage holidays with sea views - many are dog friendly.
