School Trips in Cornwall, Chysauster Ancient Village near Penzance
The historical ancient village of Chysauster is an Iron Age settlement which was occupied around 2000 years ago and is the ideal place for sachool trips in Cornwall.
On the edge of a barren hill just 3 miles from Penzance lies this unique iron age setllement know as Chysauster village. Although in ruins it has been excavated and it is easy to make out the shapes of the houses which consisted of rooms off central courtyards.
Children will love exploring the site when told about how the people lived here, what crops they grew and which animals they kept.
There is a small building adjacent to the site which can be used as a classroom. The village is just one of our ideas for school trips in Cornwall.
