Kimmeridge Bay, Wareham
Great fossil hunting on the beach here plus lots of rock-pools.
Kimmeridge Bay on the South Dorset Coast is about 20 minutes from Wareham and 30 minutes from Swanage. The bay is famous for its fossils which can be found on the beach and also for its great rock pools which kids will love ( when the tide is out ). There are also walks along the coast or into the country side.
There is a large car park overlooking sea where you can play games or have a picnic. Parking fee applies.
There is usually an ice cream van and there are toilets but no cafe.
