Beaches in Swanage

Swanage is a great seaside town with lovely sandy beaches just right for safe paddling and bathing. The beach just on the side of the town is most popular and there are deck chairs, ice creams and drinks available. You can now park on the road beside the beach but the car parking fees are quite hefty. You can hire beach huts but booking in advance is adviseable.
Kayaks are avialable to hire.

If you have dogs with you they are not permitted on the main beach but they are about 1 mile to the north of the town. The beach can be accessed by waliking along the narrow promenade or it cab be accessed through the Private Ballard Estate - footpath only.
