Kent is also known as the Garden of England, with its beautiful countryside and many great Gardens open to the public. It is also a good place to go for a day out and there are many things to do for the whole family within reach of adjoining counties and London. It has a lovely coastline and many good beaches including Broadstairs, Sandwich, Bexhill and Hastings.
The City of Canterbury is worth heading for if you want a short break with the children and is famous for its Cathedral. One of the top attractions in Kent is Leeds Castle - the kids will love it and if you want something more adventurous why not try one of the 2 Go Ape centres.
Kent is also great for holidays and there is nothing better than renting a cottage in the country or by the sea.
We always suggest that you plan your activities before you go and take time to visit attractions websites for full details so that you can make an informed choice. Good luck!

We suggest you ring beforehand if visiting with disabled children as all attractions within the place you are visiting may not be accessible, depending on disability, and whether or not you have a helper.
Our guide is popular with families and as a school resource for educational trips.
For opening times click through to website or telephone attraction.
Some attractions close during the winter.
