Devon is a great destination for days out
or family holidays. It is a
county of contrasts with beautiful beaches and calm bays in the south and
rugged coastline and sweeping beaches excellent for surfing in the north.
It also includes the wonderful National Park of Dartmoor, with some of the
loveliest scenery in the British Isles. There are many things to do from
just spending time on the beach, to activities at the many attractions we
list on these pages. If you like walking there are many coastal walks and
guided walks on Dartmoor. There are many lovely coastal towns such as
Dartmouth, where you can take boat rides, Salcombe with lovely beaches, or
why not spend some time in the City
